Report Cards Day

Yesterday was the day that school gives us back our report cards. On that day, most students should be afraid, but for me, i was waiting for this day to come for half a week already and i was quite excited.

This time however, my parents don't need to come to school bcos only JM 1, 2 and SM 1 Arts need to.

The morning started out playing "squash" but instead using badminton racquets and shuttlecocks as the ball with my friends. Watching Lim Shen's strike can already tell that he has good reflexes. After playing for half an hour, we chat a bit about our predicted scores. We have 3 periods on that day and on the 1st 2 periods, our class teacher gave us a Malay newspaper and told us to do "Guntingan Akhbar". The homework took me only a period to finish, cos it isn't much work anyway. The class slowly regains noisyness towards the end of the 2nd period.

Finally the bell rangs and 3rd period came, that means it's time to HAND OUT THE REPORT CARDS..... As our class monitor, Lim Shen hands out the pile of papers(our results), the class anxiously waited. After getting my paper, i quickly looked at my total average: 76.407, i wasn't shocked, because i always get this score area during my three years here. I compared to other close friends, and found that i got a little better than most of them. Finally, our teacher announced our result positions. I got a 12/56, my highest position in class so far. The students just couln't resist comparing their marks, so i joined them, i nearly gotten pushed down by another classmates too :(

Just as I predicted, I faliled with a 50 in Geometry and probably a 56 in Algebra. But the happy part was getting a 94 in Biology and a 93 in Chaemistry and Kemahiran Hidup!!! :D
I realised how scary the more better classes are when a friend of mine get a total average of 82.??? and only got a position of 28/57 in class.-_-!

After comparing for 40 minutes, the school bell rang and i get to leave school. I just wish i know what position i can get against the whole JM 3 classes...

Assortment of stuff...

Today just got back my physics tests, 60 marks to pass, guess how many points did i get? Only 58 marks?! !@#$%^&*() What had happened cannot be helped, i just had to forget about it...

These 2 days, i can't sleep until 2 am in the morning, and so does my friends, who were also rushing their projects. For me, my sleeping hours are turned upside-down. Luckily for me, i didn't woke up late on both of these days, but i constantly doze off near the middle of the day.

I am just so jealous of my cousins who live in Singapore as they get 1 month's long mid-year holiday to enjoy, while i only get 2 weeks, how LAME is that!!!

I borrowed a copy of Reader's Digest from my friend today, and i saw pictures of kids in China training for the Olympics(i think...), and i was amazed at their body which was full of muscles normally would only appear on the body of a grown man.

I am currently playing an RPG(role playing game) called Wild ARMs 5 and it is absolutely fun to play and it's on the PS2, and if your interested you can check out its official website at www.wildarms5.com, and the opening theme "Justice to Believe" is also very nice!!! Below is the opening movie of the game, enjoy!!!

THE MAN RULES

The Man Rules
At last a guy has taken the time to write this all down

Finally , the guys' side of the story.
( I must admit, it's pretty good.)
We always hear " the rules "
From the female side.

Now here are the rules from the male side.

These are our rules!
Please note.. these are all numbered "1 "
ON PURPOSE!

1. Men are NOT mind readers.

1. Learn to work the toilet seat.
You're a big girl. If it's up, put it down..
We need it up, you need it down.
You don't hear us complaining about you leaving it down.

1. Sunday sports. It's like the full moon
or the changing of the tides.
Let it be.

1. Crying is blackmail.

1. Ask for what you want.
Let us be clear on this one:
Subtle hints do not work!
Strong hints do not work!
Obvious hints do not work!
Just say it!

1. Yes and No are perfectly acceptable answers to almost every question.

1. Come to us with a problem only if you want help solving it. That's what we do.
Sympathy is what your girlfriends are for.

1. Anything we said 6 months ago is inadmissible in an argument.
In fact, all comments become Null and void after 7 Days.

1. If you think you're fat, you probably are.
Don't ask us.

1. If something we said can be interpreted two ways and one of the ways makes you sad or angry, we meant the other one

1. You can either ask us to do something
Or tell us how you want it done.
Not both..
If you already know best how to do it, just do it yourself.

1. Whenever possible, Please say whatever you have to say during commercials..

1. Christopher Columbus did NOT need directions and neither do we.

1. ALL men see in only 16 colors, like Windows default settings.
Peach, for example, is a fruit, not A color. Pumpkin is also a fruit. We have no idea what mauve is.

1. If it itches, it will be scratched.
We do that.

1. If we ask what is wrong and you say "nothing," We will act like nothing's wrong.
We know you are lying, but it is just not worth the hassle.

1. If you ask a question you don't want an answer to, Expect an answer you don't want to hear.

1. When we have to go somewhere, absolutely anything you wear is fine... Really .

1. Don't ask us what we're thinking about unless you are prepared to discuss such topics as football or motor sports

1. You have enough clothes.

1. You have too many shoes.

1. I am in shape. Round IS a shape!

1. Thank you for reading this.
Yes, I know, I have to sleep on the couch tonight;

But did you know men really don't mind that? It's like camping.

Pass this to as many men as you can -
to give them a laugh.

Pass this to as many women as you can -
to give them a bigger laugh.

YOU KNOW YOU LIVE IN THE 21ST CENTURY WHEN...

YOU KNOW YOU LIVE IN THE 21ST CENTURY WHEN...

1.) You accidentally enter your password on a microwave
.
2.) You haven't played solitaire with real cards for years.

3.) The reason for not staying in touch with your friends is they don't have a screen name or myspace.

4.) You'd rather look all over the house for the remote instead of just pushing the buttons on the TV.

6.) Your boss doesn't even have the ability to do your job.

7.) As you read this list you keep nodding and smiling.

8.) As you read this list you think about sending it to all your friends.

9.) And you were too busy to notice number 5.

10.) You scrolled back up to see if there was a number 5.

11.) Now you are laughing at yourself stupidly.

12.) Put this in your profile if you fell for that, and you know you did.

Alia's birthday party

On 16th May was my youngest cousin(who is 3 years old), Alia's birthday, and her mother is throwing her a big birthday party.

On that morning i was very excited to go to the party, and somehow made me unable to concentrate in class, but mostly because the exam is over. But sadly, i got information that the whole school still needs to attends co-curoculumn activities.
Damn it, i don't understand the need to attend them after a big exam like this.

After the activities, i was nearly pissed off when my dad still has some work to do and i had to wait for half an hour. To let myself calm down, i went to a nearby playground(not the childish type one) and try to do the single bar and monkey bars, but failed =.=!!

finally near 5 o'clock, my dad came. After picking me up, we went to pick up my brother who has diabolo practise every friday. After arriving home, we quickly showered and got dressed to get to the party in time. Luckily, we arrived early.

The party haven't started so i went upstairs to have a little rest. All of the sudden my cousin told me to go down to the "Bouncing castle", which was an air-filled balloon castle and very fun i might say. I got plenty of exercise depending on the sweat i made after i finish playing in it.

At night, after i ate and drank to my fullest, i watched a clown show with my other cousins and step-cousins. To them, the clown is funny. To me, a little lah, not exactly not funny.

After the night, we played some more in the "Bouncing castle", with the addition of my closest to age step-cousin, Amir, we like to lift and slam other smaller kids in the "Bouncing castle".( It doesn't hurt them and they love us doing it to them:D).

We stayed there until after midnight before we went home. I was fortunate to not overslept and be late for school the next day!!!

Hanging out with friends

Last thursday, 15th May, is the last day of the mid-year exams. I was planning to go to the movies with my friends but thinking about the timing, i decided not to, so i stayed and waited for the bus instead.

Minutes before my bus arrives, i saw my friends walking towards the shopping complex near my school. Under temptations and the reason for that day being the last day of the exams, i decided to follow them. They had decided to go for karaoke instead. After having meals at a kopitiam restaurant (which i didn't eat much because i was near broke at the time...), we went to the karaoke, but the shopkeeper said no school uniforms allowed, so we changed our minds and decided to go bowling.

Besides myself, there are four friends playing: Lim Shen, Wai Hong, Aaron and Jian Lin. And a girl stting on the bench as a spectator, Li Qin.

We had played 2 rounds of bowling.

1st round
Lim Shen 54
Aaron 48
Wai Hong 51
Meng Fai 48 (I lost...)
Jian Lin 54

Before starting the next round, the bowling alley worker told us that they're going to close the section that we are playing in, so she suggested to split us to play on 5 different lanes simountaneosly to speed up the time, we agreed.

2nd round
Lim Shen 48
Aaron 56
Wai Hong 51
Meng Fai 66 (3 strikes!!! OH YEAH!!!)
Jian Lin 47

Playing like this was better because we don't have wait until our turn to come.
After that bowling game, we walked around the shopping complex looking for gifts for birthday boys and girls in our class, and comics for Aaron. Near 4 o'clock, we each went home.

Lim Shen's bowling poses(only has his, others including me don't have):

The Geo-project Interviewing Day

Today is the 1st day of my holiday. I woke up at 8am and then followed my parents for breakfast near my house. After that, my parents sent my brother home before sending me to Titiwangsa station to meet my friends to do my Geography project.

When i arrived, i had to cross a skybridge to get to a bus station on the opposite side. I saw Wai Hong, Lim Shen, Martin, Wei Man, Yi Ern, Yoon Ler, Li Jing, Ying Chuan, and Elaine. After everyone has gathered, we started interviewing people. We've met some people who wasn't cooperative and even though we were going to sell something to them!!! But at last after 30 minutes, i've managed to interview 2 people without any problem and thanked them for their coopration. After the team gets 6 interviews, one of my friends suggested going to Times Square and many of us agreed. One of my friends had something to take care of so she decided not to join us. After buying the Monorail tickets, we set off to Times Square.

We first walked around the place before heading to the top floor to get some food(although i was full, i followed...). Martin wanted to buy some spiked shoes for practice so he and Lim Shen went to some shoe stores and afterwards meet up with the rest of us. We had some pizza for brunch. Although Martin said it was kinda lousy, i thought that the elastical cheese was very appetizing, so i would say that the pizza was semi-good. After the brunch, Martin went off again to find spiked shoes. We started deciding whether we're going to play bowling, watch a movie or sing karaokae. All the boys and some of the girls said no to kaeraokae and most of us doesn't want to bowl, so we've decided to watch a movie. After arriving at the cinema, we've decided to watch "SpiderWicks Chronicles", but after asking the ticket vendor, only 11.30pm seats are available, and it's not even 11.30 am that time! So we changed to watching the 12.15pm seating of "10,000 BC". Before that, we went to a nearby book store and read some comics to pass the time. At 12pm, we each bought a drink before entering the cinema. When we were going into the cinema, the cashier girl ran up to us and handed martin the change he forgot, and it made us laugh even harder is that most of the change is RM1 notes and he usually carries a bundle of RM1 notes with him as well!!! After watching the trailers, which was quite funny, the movie started. The story begins on the year, of course, 10,000 bc, where they introduced the village of Yagal and the main character, D'Leh. And so the story goes on and on until they're invaded by what they call, the "Four Legged Demons"(they were riding on horses...). And the main character go on a journey to rescue slaves and blah blah blah... Watch the movie to find out lah. During the movie, Ying Chuan keep saying about being too cold, i can't blame her for saying that because she was wearing shorts while most of us were wearing jeans. She keeps herself warm by taking other peoples bags and covers them on her. Haiz...

After 2 or more hours, the movie finally finishes and we went to an arcade, Martin so good because he pays for the tokens. Yoon Ler wanted to play the Basketball Machine but all the good ones are occupied and the ROSAK one cheated 4 of our tokens! Then Martin went to a lolipop machine and got 1 green lolipop, for 2 tokens via RM1, but he was still very satisfied. Then Martin, Lim Shen and me tried a punching machine. The high score is 2800.

First Round:
Martin 2700 2600
Lim Shen 2700 2700
Me 2700 2600 (SHOOT!!! Didn't use enough strength...)

Second Round(Martin Only):
Martin 2700 2800

Everyone cheered for him for the score. After that we played some Air Hockey, and i totally sucked at that by scoring 0 to 4 against Martin... The best player was Martin and Elaine where they get a tie in 2 rounds but i think that Martin won because he won the 1st round but unfortunately lost by 3 vs 3 on the 2nd round. After that, everyone was feeling quite tired and agreed to go home. After Martin went home, the rest of us took the Monorail home.

At Titiwangsa, only me, Wei Man, Wai Hong and the girls were waiting for the bus. After a few goodbyes, i got on my bus and headed home. Halfway home, damn weather is starting to rain, luckily it didn't rain too heavily when i reached home, so i made a short dash to my house without getting wet.

What happened today was great, and i enjoyed it soooo much!!! Sure wish i can hang out with my friends like this more often...
Below is Monorail driver seat pictures because it's kind of cool, sorry can't get trip pictures...

On Wednesday, i have PE class on the fifth period. The teacher said that we will have a running test on that day. When the teachers were calling out the students numbers that will be tested on that day, my heart was pounding. Unfortunately, my number was called out.

After gathering at the starting point, me and my friends each wore old number clothes on our chest. After some explanatiom from our teacher, we ran at the command of our teacher. I was unlucky because i thought that wearing my sports shoe would make my run easier, instead it was worse than wearing my school shoes because my sports shoes were too small now, and that make my feet hurt more. We were tested on running four laps within a certain time limit to pass the test. On the first lap, i have enough stamina to get through it with no problem. The problem starts on the second lap. I started having a little breathing problem and my feet hurts more because of the tight shoes. On the third lap, i was running out of breath and had to walk a distance before increasing my speed again. On the final lap, the routhe feels very very long... At last, i reached the finishing line at 10 minutes and 38 seconds, enough to pass the test. My head feels very dizzy and my legs feel like pudding.I had to rest at a cool spot nearby because the weather was intensely hot. To get to the resting spot, i need to walk a short distance, and under the hot sun, the pain of my legs and stamina-less body, it was like torture. After resting like 10 minutes or so, i went to the back stadium to meet up with my other friends who hadn't been chosen to take the running test. Some of them are still playing volleyball and some are resting under a shady tree. I went under the tree and sat on a marble chair while chatting with them. I then went back to class with sore feet and relieved after taking of the tight sports shoes.

Yesterday was the first day of the standardised test, and it was Chinese and Geometry. I studied hard with my friends in the morning but i still dozed off. After finishing the Chinese test, i went and revise Geometry's methods of solving questions. During the Geometry test, which was the fifth period, i did the first few questions without any difficulties, until the final question, which is the fourth one. After passing up the papers, i went to check with my friends. It turns out that i did one of the mini questions on the final question wrongly, thus resulting wrong answers in the other mini questions, haiz...

Today the test was on Malay and History(chinese), but me and my friends mostly concentrate on History first because there are more things to remember. After spending an hoyr or so, we turned to revised malay because there are some usage of words that are very confusing. When there is still somemore spare time, we resume revising History. On the second and third period is the Malay test, and the first few question frightened me because all the words to choose made me totally clueless. At last the question in the middle part is easier. After that, i finnaly finished it during the third period. After recess, i stayed in class to revise the History further with my friends. After 40 minutes of hard revising, it was time for the test. After the paper was handed out, i found that the questions in the first section was kind of easy thanks to the revisions, although i got a few names wrong when i discuss with my friends after the test.Overall, i got most of the answers in the History test right. The sixth period was Malay, so the teacher came in and discussed the test answers with us. During the discussion, we made a lot of arguing noises, which i thought was very fun because everybody in the class laughed. After the discussion, I only got 20/40 in the first part, not too bad because i will have to wait for the second part: ringkasan result to add to my total marks.

Well, that's it for today. Wish me luck on the tests!!!

It's been a while since my last blog entry...

Now is already after Chinese New Year liao, and really very tired to go to school in the morning, cause had to wake up at 5.30 am.
Today don't know why but kept dozing off in class in the morning, then i realised that the windows of the classroom hadn't open, paiseh... These few days also have not enough time to visit my old friends in other classes.
After school, i was already going to get onto my school bus, then i realised that i forgot to take my wallet and it was in my drawer. I was shocked and quickly put my bags in the bus and asked the bus driver to wait for me. I ran thourgh waves of students until i arrived at my classroom which was luckily not yet locked. It was quite tiring because the classroom is on the top floor. After finding my wallet, i used my remaining strenght to rush back to the school bus. Finally, i managed to come back and forth within 10 minutes. My feet was very pain for half the trip on the bus going back to my home.
These days the whole class is working quite hard because the 1st school short test is on the 28th this month.
I sure wish i can go back to the holidays last week but as they say, "times flies".
These few days don't know why my stomach always feel very uncomfortable but i don't remember eating anything dirty.
Sure wish i can get over with the tests as soon as possible, with no fail lah i hope...

Hooray!!!
This Wednesday is Thaipusam, and that means an extra school holiday for me!!!
And i was frustrated about no resting from school this week. And i don't need to attend PE class because i hated running(i had no fun doing it...).

Anyway, because of the holiday, the traffic will be very jammed because the Hindus often carries something like a carriage passing the road to the school. I experienced it once last year and me and my friends were forced to walk to school from a distance because the bus couldn't be driven any closer.

These few weeks, many small tests are given by our teachers and as always, I SUCK AT ALGEBRA!!! I can only get 2 to 3 answers that i'm sure it's correct. And i absolutely HATE homeworks especially history excersices because it always keeps me copying for about 3 hours :yawn... These days also got visit old clssmates in other classes to ask them about the difference in their teachers teaching than my class's teachers.

I hope Naruto Shippuuden can get new episodes as fast as possible because now its the climax part and i want to see what happens in the end. Also, let Chinese New Year come faster lah!!!

Today got PE class on the 5th period, and i changed into my sports t-shirt before the 4th period's recess. The school rules says that students mustn't wear sports t-shirt during class, so i had to wear my school uniform on the outside. Don't know why but during the 4th period the weather was very hot and it made me sweat a little. Finnaly, the bell rang and it was time to go down to the sports field.

This year my PE teacher is the coach of the basketball team by the name of Mr Chong. After he explained what we will be tested this year, whick took about 15 minutes, he told us to run 3 laps (1 lap is about 400 meters)around the school. I groaned after hearing this... But the class said that we will not have enough time for 3 laps, so the teacher decided to reduce it to 2 laps. He also said that boys MUST finish the laps in 5 and a half minutes, while the girl need to finish in 6 and a half minutes. After he said "Start!!!", i sped off. i was doing quite well on the 1st lap, but nearly at 1/4 of the second lap, my troat was starting to get dry, and my legs are hurting because the footpad of my school shoes are very hard. There is also a "jumping obstacle" that is used to seal up the place because there was construction work on a building near the run way, which hurt my feet even more. And worse, the day was very, very HOT!!! At last, i finished in 5 minutes time. I rest my back on the wall with more sweat than normal, and my legs are chaffing. After everyone finished the race, the teacher called all of us to gather. He gave commands that need us to lift our legs, and OMG my legs can't even lift an inch without trying quite hard.

After a clapping command, which we tried a few times since the teacher wanted a clap that's in one rthyme. After that i still have to climb up to the 4th floor!!! When i finally sit at my seat, i relaxed on the chair and enjoyed the cold air-conditioner classroom. I can't move for about 1 minutes until my breathing is returned to normal. Then all i have to do is wait for the chinese lesson teacher to enter the class. I can't imagine what i'm going to do when the teacher give us our 6 lap running test... HAIZ.....

Tomorrow is special school holiday, don't know how i'm going to spend it...

Below are videos taken by someone during a concert our school and singpore's regent high school organized. Enjoy!!!

Wah!!!! so long didn't write blog already...
No chance to use computer lo.....

Last thursday was the 1st day of school and i was quite nervous about going back. I was feeling so tired when i woke up at 5.30 am because i was waking up late during the holidays. The class was exceptionally late that day that when i get to school it was almost 7.30 am...

My class is at the tallest floor, that's the 4th floor of one of the school building and i can't get used to the 4th floor because last year my classroom was at the 3rd floor, and because of that i always went up to the wrong floor...

Last saturday, i had a sleep over at my cousins' new house. They have a swimming pool in front of the house (cool huh?). And that night we ate dinner at a restaurant (that i think is expensive) and me and my brother slept in their new house. The next day we all played in the swimming pool for at least 2 hours. After that, we played our PS2 in one of my cousin's room. On 4 pm, many of my aunts came to the house bringing their kids. Then we swam at the swimming pool for another hour. In the evening, we all ate speggetties cooked by my mum. Finally after saying goodbye to them, we went back home at 8.30 pm.

It's already the second week of the school. I'm already getting to know some of the new students in class. The class is quite boring because i always yawn when some of the teachers start teaching.

Me and one of my friend are very busy since last Saturday because we wanted to quit our previous co-curiculumn society (we're in the same society) but the list of students that are going to stay in the society is out and we're on the list. We thought of reasons for our parents to write a parents note to the teacher in charge of the society. My dad wrote the note but my friend typed it with the computer and let his mum sign it afterwards. On Monday, we passed the notes to the teacher in charge, but unfortunately he said it was up to the leaders of the society's decision and it takes a day for them to have a discussion whether they let us quit the society. That night me and my friend each called the leader and the leader approved me but not him, or so have i thought.

This morning at about 10 something me and my freind went to get the teacher in charge's approval but the teacher said that he hadn't get any information from our leader and the form for changing society has to be handed in b4 school's out. We asked the teacher in charge of the co-curiculumn activities what to do. Their answer was that they will extended the deadline for 1 or 2 days, we were relieved by that. On the 2nd recess, i saw the leader in the library so i asked her. She said that she had approved both me and my friend(shocking) and that we can had in the forms. I thanked her and went to pass up my form to the co-curiculumn office. Later i wanted to tell my friend but i couldn't find him until when the recess was over. He rushed to hand it the form before the teacher came in. I can see a smile on his face when he ran out (haha!!).

That's about all that has happened in these few days. I can't wait for the CNY holidays to come!!!

Below are pictures of my younger cousins, tell me if their cute or something!!!
